One can recall that the Union Legislative earlier this Second
academic semester allegedly voted overwhelmingly to impeach and intermission the Union Director Transport and Welfare over what it best described as embezzlement and gross misconduct
which saw the coming into play of the Union Judiciary defined as the last hope
of resort.
The union judiciary after series of deliberation ruled in favor
of the SUG Director of Transport and Welfare and as such remained the
substantive Directors of their office.

The speaker of the student Union has kicked against the judgment,
his reaction reads in full;
“Throughout the gamut of the SUG constitution, nowhere is it
stated that the court has the power to divest an arm of the SUG government from
exercising its constitutionally guaranteed powers and functions”.
“The court cannot stop the legislature from exercising its
constitutional duty of checkmating the excesses of the Executive, the same way
it cannot stop it from making laws for the good of the Union”.
“The court judgment is only valid to the extent that it declared the process
adopted in suspending and impeaching the affected directors irregular and
nothing more”.
“Any judgment which purports to oust the constitutional
duties, powers and functions of the legislative arm of government is a mockery
in itself”.
