Course Reps Restricted From Contending As Faculty Of Education Election Gathers More Weight

The faculty of education Imo state university is regarded the largest with over seventeen departments surpassing other faculties in the school.
The faculty is respected as the most vibrant thus its election is the most dynamic and competitive ever in the history of students confederation in the campus. The multifarious and complex nature of the election blows more wind than the SUG election.
As the clock ticks and each passing day brings closer the election of new executives into the consolidation of students in the faculty known as ESAN (Education Students Association Of Nigeria), the incumbent presiding officer and President of the union Comrade Daniel Muonuagha (Vision) has taken out time to roll out rules which will guide the election among which is that serving officers at any capacity in the school is restricted from contesting.
According too an official notification sent to Imsu Info-scope Media led by Imsu Elijah, the wireless informant, 400 level students are not eligible to contest at the faculty election.
The memo which was signed by the faculty President reads without mutilation:
"In regards to the Upcoming Education Students Association Election, interested students are to be aware of the following information:"
"The Post of the Assistant Secretary General (ASG) has been Scrapped out and replaced with Director of Socials 2 (D.O.S2) and is open to both Male and Female Aspirants.
"The Post of the Presidency, Vice Presidency and Financial Secretary is restricted to the 300Level students. All other Positions is open to both 200Level and 300Level students."
"Students who are currently holding Political Positions are Ineligible to Contest in the Faculty Election."
"Course Representatives are Ineligible to Contest. Such person(s) must step down from the Position of a Course Rep BEFORE Declaration of Interest in any Position."

For instance, the tenure of the present administration is yet to elapse, about twelve political hopefuls have already declared interest to occupy various positions while a good number are yet to herald Intentions.
