The home side opened scoring in the 21st minute through a header from defender Rudiger, with United leveling up in the 55th minute through Anthony Martial. Martial again gave United the lead in the 73rd minute.
The visitors held onto the lead until the very end, when a stunning strike from England International Ross Barkley salvaged a point for Maurizio Sarri's men at the bridge.
