IMSU Law Students Win NDDC Moot Court Competition Beating UNIBEN Students
The Imo State University Law Students returned to Owerri with another inter-university mooting trophy, this time from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Moot Competition that was hosted at Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
The IMSU Law School was represented by a 6-man team consisting of John Okorie (Lead Counsel); Rex Uwadoka (Co Counsel); Chiamaka Achor (Co Counsel); Ibebuchi Onyeka (witness); Ogu Chidiebere (witness) and Emmanuel Maxwell (research assistant).
Imo defeated Igbinedion University and Delta State University to qualify to the finals thereafter beating UNIBEN at the final stage to bag the 1st position.
About 12 institutions participated in the competition, including

Ambrose Ali University
Cash gift of 1million naira was presented to the victorious school and 1 year subscription of Law Report for the Law library among other prizes.
Rex Uwadoka (Faculty of Law President, IMSU) while showing gratitude said: ‘It was a great experience and I want to thank the School management so much for her support as well as my counterparts during the competition. We all did a great job!’
