The Vice Chancellor Promised To Speed Up Operations And Detect Fraudulent Moves In IMSU Microfinance Bank

The Vice Chancellor of Imo State University Prof. (Mrs.) Victoria Adaobi Obasi on Wednesday visited the IMSU Microfinance Bank management in regards to the response and incessant complains of students against the activities of the bank, alongside with the Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Martins Uchenna, some SUG executive's and few student's.

Her visit is a follow-up to the past visit of the SUG President alongside his executives to the Microfinance bank following unceasing travails of IMSU students at the hand of the bank ranging from high remita charges to late payments responses amongst others.

The Vice Chancellor has promised to provide three computers to speed up operations of the Microfinance bank.

She also directed that refunds should be made as soon as possible of all illegal transactions or payments, accepted or made to any unit of the parastatal.

In response, the Microfinance management promised to reduce her charges on students to as low as N400.

Also, IMSU students are employed to report any illegality by any unit of the parastatal.
