IMSU 200 level student arrested for allegedly defrauding millions of naira from Nigerians

The State police criminal investigation department (CID) of the Nigerian Police in Owerri Imo State, has arrested a 22-year-old girl, for allegedly defrauding over N1.8 million from unsuspecting Nigerians.

The girl who was identified as Chidera Precious Akanazu, a 200 level student of Economics in imo state university Owerri was apprehended following a petition from a business owner that the suspect is impersonating her and using it to scam people.

Amarachi Progress, the young lady who run a body enhancement business known as ‘Progressive Body’ filed a report at the state’s CID Owerri when she noticed that some miscreants are using her business name and pictures to scam people their hard earned money.

Amarachi revealed that in the last few weeks she has been harassed verbally, physically assaulted by the victims of fraud and with her photos circulated widely over on social media as a thief because after scamming them, Chidera usually directs her victims to her shop.
